FIRST Lego League is another one of the robotics programs that NC GEARS participates in. FLL is a robotics program for elementary students. Like other tiers of the program, they also are given a game to build a robot for, but they use Lego Mindstorms to do so. Though we do not have a team in FLL, we help out through our sponsor, NC RESA, at Lego camps. For the last several years, we have volunteered at FLL Newaygo summer camps. This has let our team become a long-running helper in mentoring younger students and increasing their knowledge and interest in robotics.
