High School Robotics
Our Story
Our story began back in 2006 with 12 students and a middle school teacher, Jim Rusco; they called themselves the Pack-Men. In their name, “pack” was derived from the Fremont Michigan High School mascot, the “Packers”. In 2008 our gracious sponsor Newaygo County Regional Educational Service Agency (NC RESA) took us under their wing and expanded us to involve all schools in Newaygo County. We went from the Pack-Men to 1918 the NC GEARS. We now stand as a proud veteran team of FIRST and aim to not only grow our team but to help others prosper as well.
